Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit position requiring 2 years of cardiac telemetry experience and a DC RN license.

Details

• Work in a 48-bed cardiac focused stepdown unit with 4 pulmonary care beds and 10 cardiac surgery beds (cardiac surgery beds not required)
• 3x12 hour shifts on an AM/PM rotation
• 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
• Frequent IV drips include Heparin, Milrinone, Lasix, and Bumex
• Common diagnoses include CHF, NSTEMI, arrhythmias, and vascular surgery cases
• Cerner EMR used

Requirements

• Active RN license in DC required, no pending licenses accepted
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA only)
• 2 years of RN experience required
• 2 years of cardiac telemetry experience required
• Cerner experience required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• BSN highly desired
• Two manager or supervisor references required, verifying experience within the last 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to cardiac stepdown and progressive care patients
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility
