IT Technical Analyst 2 Join a team where technology directly impacts business success. Position Summary TOPS Products is seeking an IT Technical Analyst 2 to help design, develop, support, and improve technology solutions that enable our manufacturing and distribution focused operations. This role combines technical analysis, solution development, reporting, integrations, EDI, and hands‑on work in our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations ecosystem. The successful candidate will work closely with IT teammates, business users, and external partners to understand / troubleshoot issues, improve processes, support custom applications, and deliver practical solutions that create measurable business value. Partner with business teams to solve real operational challenges. Gain exposure to manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, finance, and customer service processes in a multi-country environment supporting over 10 locations. Contribute ideas, challenge assumptions, and help shape solutions from concept through implementation. Key Responsibilities Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions, reports, integrations, and process improvements. Support, troubleshoot, and enhance our technical solutions within and around Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. Support EDI transactions, system interfaces, and integration processes between D365 and internal or external systems. Leverage knowledge of D365 data model to assist with support and development activities. Maintain custom IT solutions including internal websites and legacy IT business solutions. Meet with IT and business users to understand issues, document requirements, validate solutions, and support user adoption. Work collaboratively with IT infrastructure, business analysts, developers, and vendors to deliver reliable solutions. Manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining strong follow‑through and communication. Create and maintain technical documentation, support notes, and process flows. Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual effort, improve data quality, and increase system reliability. Maintain and provide status of requests, priorities and issues to IT Manager. Ideal Candidate Profile Self‑starter who can take ownership, ask good questions, and move work forward obtaining guidance as needed. Strong analytical thinker who enjoys solving complex business and technical problems. Comfortable balancing hands‑on technical work with frequent interaction across IT and business teams. Able to manage competing priorities, shift between support and project work, and communicate status clearly. Curious, adaptable, and willing to learn new technologies, applications, and business processes. Customer‑focused mindset with the ability to explain technical topics in practical business terms. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting ERP, business applications, or enterprise systems; familiarity with D365 Finance & Operations is required. Experience with SQL, reporting tools, data analysis, dashboards, or business intelligence solutions. Exposure to EDI, APIs, file‑based integrations, middleware, or other system‑to‑system data exchange methods. Exposure to Azure DevOps or CICD pipeline. Ability to troubleshoot and support technical processes. Experience working with business users to gather requirements, test solutions, and support production systems. Manufacturing and distribution industry experience is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including documentation and user‑facing support. Success depends on strong ownership, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver practical solutions in a changing environment. The role is well suited for someone who enjoys variety: one day may involve troubleshooting an EDI issue, the next may involve designing a report, supporting a D365 process, or working with users to improve how work gets done.
