Senior Technology Risk Manager

A leading global financial market infrastructure organization is seeking a Senior Technology Risk Manager to provide second line oversight across critical enterprise technology transformation initiatives. This individual will act as a trusted partner to Technology, Cyber Security, and Infrastructure teams- offering independent challenge and risk guidance across cloud migration, modernization, and large-scale change programs. The role is central to ensuring robust governance, control effectiveness, and risk mitigation across complex, business-critical environments. Key Responsibilities Provide independent second line oversight across major technology and cyber transformation initiatives Assess risks associated with cloud migration, infrastructure modernisation, and enterprise-wide technology change Review and challenge risk assessments, control frameworks, and remediation strategies Partner with senior stakeholders across Technology, Security, and the Business to enhance governance and risk maturity Support programme governance forums and ensure risk considerations are embedded throughout delivery lifecycles Identify emerging technology and cyber risks , providing actionable mitigation recommendations Drive a culture of proactive risk management and continuous improvement Requirements 10+ years’ experience across Technology Risk, IT Risk, Cyber Risk, Technology Audit, or Operational Risk Proven track record supporting large-scale technology transformation programmes Confidence to independently challenge and influence senior stakeholders Strong knowledge of technology risk frameworks, controls, and governance best practices Ability to operate in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment Preferred Experience Experience operating in a Second Line of Defence Technology Risk function Background within Financial Services, Capital Markets, or other regulated industries Exposure to cloud transformation programmes (AWS, Azure) Experience with mainframe modernisation or legacy system transformation Involvement in infrastructure and cyber security transformation initiatives Prior experience in Technology Audit, Security Operations, or Technology Operations Ideal Candidate A senior, commercially minded Technology Risk professional with strong experience overseeing complex technology transformation initiatives.
