RN-Registered Nurse // ICU - Intensive Care Unit $1,246 weekly stipends, $27/hour, $972 weekly base pay. Onsite Contract Starts 7/20/2026, 13 weeks. Shift Details Shift: 12hr Day Shift (36) Shift Time: 0700-1900 Clinical Interviewing: Yes On Call/Call Back: None Weekend Rotation: Every other Holiday Requirements: 1 holiday per contract Floating Requirements Could float anywhere in the hospital within scope of practice and below. For MedSurg/Tele units or ED Boarding with MS patients, will take a 1:4 ratio. Travelers float first. Facility Information Location: Oconomowoc, WI Level II Trauma Center Primary Stroke Center Total Beds: 91 Unit Beds: 14 Minimum ICU experience required: 2 years First‑time traveler accepted: Yes Patient Types / Common Diagnoses General/Medical: sepsis, pneumonia, COVID, COPD, respiratory failure, kidney failure, liver failure, GI bleeds, DKA Cardiac: CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, post‑catheterization (radial and femoral approach) Trauma: GSW, stabbings, falls Surgical: GYN, GI (SBO), GU Neuro: SDH, TBI, CVA, TIA, syncope No cardiovascular surgeries Patient Ratios and Team Nursing Standard ratio: 1:1–3. If >2 patients, team nursing with an experienced MedSurg RN. MS patient, but MD wants patients in ICU. Long‑term vented patients – ICU RN manages vent; MedSurg RN manages patient. Required Licenses, Certifications, and Experience BLS, ACLS, NIHSS TNCC preferred Vent/Trach management, tube/drain management, chest tubes, invasive line management (arterial line, CVP), cardiac rhythm interpretation (read and measure strips), surgical recovery, medication titration (sedation, pressors, cardiac, pain, paralytics, etc.) EPIC experience required Preferred: abdominal pressure monitoring, EVDs, CVVH, IABP. Support and Technology Charge RN typically takes patient assignment. 1–2 CNA per shift. Break Buddy. RT 24/7. Hospitalists 24/7. Intensivist 24/7. OT/PT/ST during the day. EMR: EPIC – required. IV Pump: Alaris. Medication dispensing: Pyxis. Orientation & Scheduling 2‑Day Orientation: Day 1: Meet with ClinED (access, login, badge). Remainder of day training on the unit. Day 2: 12h on the unit training with preceptor. Weekend rotation: Every other. RTO approval: up to 7 days. Schedule cycle: 6‑week increments. Shift times available: 0700‑1900, 1900‑0700.
