Parts Runner

Location East Bay BMW Location: 4350 Rosewood Dr, Pleasanton, California 94588 Summary Delivery of parts from the Parts Department to technicians. No direct supervisory responsibilities. Responsibilities Delivers parts to technicians Identifies and reports all overages and shortages Stocks parts and accessories in correct bin locations Notifies appropriate personnel of issues with orders Assists with new inventory assignments Performs inventory test counts as directed by management Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area Maintains CSI at or above company standards Participates in required training Records all hours worked accurately in the company timekeeping system Follows Safeguards rules and regulations Demonstrates company core values Complies with company policies and procedures Observes all federal, state, local and company safety rules and regulations Other duties as assigned Qualifications Prior delivery or warehouse experience Valid driver’s license Basic computer skills to use the company timekeeping system Ability to understand and follow instructions Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel Regular and predictable attendance; shifts may include evenings, weekends and holidays Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent movement around the premises and outdoor car lot Verbal and writing ability: read, comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos Math ability: add, subtract, multiply, divide Reasoning ability: apply common sense and handle standardized situations Education GED or high school diploma Associate, bachelor, master, or doctorate degree (any field) Preferred fields: accounting, automotive, business, human resources, information technology Work Experience Up to 3 years 3–5 years 5+ years Licenses Valid driver’s license Automobile salesperson license (optional) Computer Skills Basic computer skills required for the company timekeeping system. Attendance Expectations Regular and predictable attendance is required. Scheduled shifts may include evenings, weekends and holidays. Physical Demands Regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, and sit. May lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent movement around the company premises and outdoor car lot. Environment Duties performed primarily in the parts and service departments, with frequent moving and shelving of parts.
