A 300+ bed hospital and Level III trauma center in Longview, TX, is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to support its inpatient pharmacy team. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospital environment where your expertise will directly impact patient care.

Schedule & Location:

• Location: Longview, TX
• Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week
• Flexible scheduling possible, including a block schedule option (e.g., 8 days on, 6 days off)
• Start date: ASAP
• Duration: 13 weeks with potential to extend to temporary-to-hire

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff workflow
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to provide medication consultations
• Conduct pharmacokinetic dosing evaluations to optimize patient therapy
• Utilize technology systems such as EPIC and Pyxis to manage pharmacy operations

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current Texas Pharmacist license required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient or clinical pharmacy experience
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records highly preferred
• Knowledge of pharmacokinetic dosing principles
• Experience with neonatal medication and emergency medicine is advantageous
