Accountant

Responsibilities Ensure the accuracy of financial records and manage month‑end processes. Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and analyze variances between actual and budgeted/forecasted figures. Support audits by providing documentation, explanations, and documentation support. Maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards. Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting procedures and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other finance departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information exchange. Perform ad hoc financial analysis and projects as requested by management to support decision‑making and business initiatives. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience). Preferred: Master’s Degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience; 4+ years accounting experience, including all aspects of the monthly close process, transaction processing, cash management, and financial record‑keeping. Proficiency with accounting software (PeopleSoft and Workday preferred). Desired Skills & Abilities Solid understanding of GAAP and ability to apply US GAAP and non‑GAAP standards. Strong general ledger management and analytical skills to interpret financial data and identify trends. High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities under tight timeframes. Effective communication skills to clearly convey complex accounting issues to management, auditors, and staff. Understanding of internal controls to safeguard financial assets and prevent fraud. Certifications Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required. Compensation & Benefits Salary: $73,654.77 – $97,263.19 (annual). Eligible for annual bonus incentive pay.
