Job Details: Job Location: Shared Srvs - Las Vegas HQ - Las Vegas, NV, Salary Range: Undisclosed, About CES Power Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, CES Power provides reliable and safe power solutions to customers in the broadcasting, entertainment, industrial, and other demanding markets. CES supports some of the world’s most complex and high-profile events through technology-driven, sustainability-focused power services. CES Power is a portfolio company of Allied Industrial Partners, a middle-market private equity firm investing in high-growth industrial businesses. Position Summary The Chief Technology Officer leads CES Power’s global technology organization and translates the company’s technology strategy into execution, adoption, and measurable business results. Reporting directly to executive leadership, the CTO partners with senior leaders to shape technology priorities while owning the roadmap, architecture, organization, platforms, and execution required to deliver them. This is an operator’s CTO role. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable participating in executive discussions, working alongside technology teams to solve difficult problems, challenging a vendor, understanding data and architecture, visiting a branch or warehouse, and spending time on active CES Power job sites with the employees who use our technology every day. The CTO leads all aspects of technology, including enterprise applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data and analytics, software development, integrations, AI and automation, end-user computing, technology support, and strategic technology partners. The fundamental objective is to use technology to make CES Power easier to work for, easier to operate, and easier to do business with. Operating Model The CTO operates within a clear division of accountability between the business and Technology: Area Primary accountability Business Process Business leaders own the process, operating requirements, policies, and business outcomes. Technology Tools Technology owns the platforms, architecture, integrations, reliability, usability, and technical roadmap that enable the process. Technology Strategy Executive leadership drives overall technology direction; the CTO participates in strategy and owns translating it into priorities, roadmaps, architecture, and execution. Cybersecurity & Risk The CTO holds executive accountability for technology security, resilience, and risk while using strategic partners for appropriate execution and maintaining a business-enablement mindset. Primary Responsibilities Technology Execution and Business Value Translate CES Power’s business and technology strategy into clear priorities, roadmaps, investments, and measurable outcomes. Own execution across the global technology portfolio, balancing speed, scalability, reliability, security, and cost. Establish clear accountability and operating cadence for technology initiatives and personally engage when projects, systems, or vendors require intervention. Connect technology investment to measurable outcomes including productivity, job profitability, asset and labor utilization, operating margin, scalability, and customer experience. Build a technology organization known for solving business problems and delivering results rather than simply administering systems. Technology Organization and Leadership Lead the complete global technology organization across applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data and analytics, development, integrations, and end-user support. Evaluate organizational structure, capabilities, and talent and make changes necessary to support CES Power’s continued growth. Develop strong technology leaders and create clear accountability throughout the organization. Build a culture characterized by urgency, ownership, transparency, exceptional internal customer service, and progress over perfection. Ensure technology teams understand the business problems they are solving, not simply the systems they support. Automation AI and Simplification Use technology, integration, workflow automation, and AI to eliminate unnecessary manual work and make CES Power simpler to operate. Identify friction, duplicate entry, disconnected workflows, and administrative burden across the organization and systematically reduce them. Operationalize appropriate AI opportunities from concept through production, adoption, and measurable results; apply AI where it materially improves the business rather than pursuing AI for its own sake. Partner with business leaders to understand how work actually happens before designing or implementing technology solutions. Measure success through adoption and business impact rather than project completion alone. Enterprise Applications Data and Integration Own the technology capabilities supporting CES Power’s ERP, CRM, operational platforms, iSeeWhere, and other core business systems. Ensure platforms are reliable, integrated, scalable, and capable of producing trusted information for decision making. Improve the accessibility, reliability, and usefulness of data throughout CES Power. Partner with Operations, Commercial, Finance, and other functions to continuously improve how technology supports the business while preserving the principle that the business owns the process and Technology owns the tools. Challenge requirements constructively when technology exposes unnecessary complexity, weak controls, or poor process design. Software Development Architecture and Platforms Provide leadership and technical direction for internally developed applications, integrations, automation, and data capabilities. Establish pragmatic architecture and development standards appropriate for a rapidly growing operating business. Make thoughtful build-versus-buy decisions based on business value, speed, sustainability, and total cost. Maintain sufficient technical depth to challenge architecture, development approaches, and vendors while empowering technical leaders to execute. Infrastructure Security and Resilience Maintain executive accountability for cybersecurity, technology risk, infrastructure, identity, business continuity, and disaster recovery. Establish appropriate security standards and ensure internal teams and strategic partners execute against them. Lead security with a business-enablement mindset, protecting CES Power without creating unnecessary friction for employees or customers. Hold managed service, security, and technology partners accountable for performance, responsiveness, economics, and results. Ensure the global technology environment is reliable, scalable, and prepared to support continued growth. Field and Global Business Engagement Spend meaningful time with CES Power employees where work happens, including branches, warehouses, and active job sites. Develop firsthand understanding of how technology impacts leaders, Account Managers, Project Managers, technicians, warehouse personnel, and other employees. Use field observation and employee feedback to identify opportunities to simplify work and improve execution. Ensure technology solutions work in real-world operating environments, not just in an office or demonstration environment. Maintain global visibility across the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, and future geographies while establishing appropriate enterprise standards. Technology Economics and Vendor Performance Own the technology budget and ensure resources are directed toward the highest-value business priorities. Develop credible business cases for significant technology investments and measure whether expected benefits are realized. Manage strategic technology partners based on outcomes, service quality, economics, and business value. Continually evaluate opportunities to simplify the technology landscape and reduce unnecessary cost. Initial Measures of Success Stabilized and simplified core technology environment while maintaining the pace required by a rapidly growing business. High-performing global technology organization with clear roles, accountability, leadership, and operating disciplines. Improved integration and data quality across ERP, CRM, operational, and other core platforms, increasing trust in technology and data. Meaningful automation that reduces administrative work and makes CES Power easier to work for and easier to operate. High-value AI opportunities moved into practical, adopted production capabilities with measurable business impact. Improved technology experience for employees in the field, at branches and warehouses, and on active jobs. Stronger cybersecurity and resilience without unnecessary business friction. Greater discipline around technology investment, vendor performance, adoption, and measurable business value. Qualifications: Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in technology, engineering, computer science, business, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience. Approximately 8–12 or more years of progressive technology experience, including meaningful leadership responsibility across multiple technology disciplines. Demonstrated experience leading teams and leaders responsible for several of the following: enterprise applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data and analytics, software development, integrations, and end-user technology. Demonstrated success operating in a high-growth, fast-moving environment where priorities change quickly and leaders are expected to execute with urgency. Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, cloud and SaaS environments, integration, data, security, and modern software development. Demonstrated ability to partner directly with business leaders and translate operational requirements into technology outcomes. Experience managing significant technology vendors, budgets, and investment decisions. Demonstrated ability to improve business outcomes through technology rather than simply implementing systems. Prior CTO experience is not required; this role is appropriate for an accomplished VP, Head of Technology, senior technology leader, or similar executive ready to assume enterprise-wide technology accountability. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting distributed, field-based, or operational workforces. Experience in a private-equity-backed business or a similarly demanding high-growth operating environment. Experience leading software development, integration, automation, data, or AI capabilities in addition to traditional enterprise technology functions. Acquisition and technology integration experience is beneficial but not required. Core Competencies Execution, ownership, and urgency Business orientation and value creation Technical credibility and pragmatic judgment Hands‑on executive leadership Clear communication and avoidance of surprises Talent development and organizational leadership Customer service and field orientation Commercial and financial acumen Curiosity, adaptability, and continuous improvement Work Location and Schedule Based at CES Power’s Las Vegas headquarters and expected to be primarily onsite when not traveling. Meaningful travel is required across CES Power’s operations in the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, and other locations as the business grows. Travel includes time with leaders and employees in branches, warehouses, and active job sites to understand how work is performed and how technology can improve it. Must be able to support the needs of a global, always‑on business and respond with urgency to significant technology or security events. Physical and Environmental Requirements This position is primarily performed in a professional office environment but required regular travel to branches, warehouses, and active job sites. The role regularly requires sitting, computer use, repetitive motion, speaking, and hearing, with walking and standing in operational environments. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Employment Statement CES Power LLC is an equal opportunity employer. Employment decisions are made without regard to legally protected characteristics. This job description describes the general nature and level of work expected and is not an exhaustive list of every responsibility. Responsibilities may evolve as CES Power and its technology organization continue to grow. #J-18808-LjbffrVacancy posted 3 days ago
