Workday Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Workday Payroll & Absence Analyst to support and optimize our Workday environment with a primary focus on North America Payroll, Absence Management, and Payroll Integrations. This role will be responsible for payroll configuration, tax compliance, reporting, system enhancements, and ongoing operational support.

Configure, maintain, and support Workday Payroll and Absence modules.

Manage payroll setup including earnings, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and related business processes.

Support payroll processing activities and ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.

Maintain payroll tax configurations and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local tax regulations.

Coordinate and support year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and validation.

Troubleshoot and support payroll integrations between Workday and third-party systems.

Create, maintain, and enhance complex payroll, tax, and absence-related reports.

Perform payroll audits, reconciliations, and data validation activities.

Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, Benefits, and IT teams to resolve issues and improve processes.

Lead and support system enhancements, optimization initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.

Analyze business requirements and implement scalable Workday solutions.

Support testing efforts for system updates, new functionality, and integration changes.

Maintain documentation for payroll configurations, business processes, and reporting solutions.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years hands-on experience with Workday North America Payroll, Absence and Payroll Integrations processing

• 5+ years of configuration experience with maintaining earnings, deductions, tax configurations and business processes for payroll and absence

• Strong understanding of Workday payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements including W2 processing

• Must be able to create complex payroll reports

• Must be experienced in using Excel • Experience leading Workday optimization/enhancement projects for Payroll and Absence

• Experience with non-US payroll integrations and support

• Solid understanding of Payroll/GL regulations & rules

• Solid understanding of HCM hire-to-retire processes.

• Workday PATT certification
