Role: Senior Software Engineer Backend (Python/FastAPI)

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our backend-focused engineering team. You'll work on distributed systems that support solar energy operations, integrating with cloud services, building reliable APIs, and contributing to a modern CI/CD-driven development culture.

What You'll Do

Design and build RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI
Work with AWS services including RDS, SQS, and S3
Contribute to and maintain infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, and Argo
Collaborate closely with product and cross-functional engineering teams on technical design and delivery
Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and team rituals

What We're Looking For

6+ years of backend engineering experience, with strong Python skills
Hands-on experience with FastAPI or a comparable async Python framework
Comfort working in a containerized, cloud-native environment (AWS, Kubernetes)
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a distributed team
Bonus: Experience with React or other frontend frameworks
