Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for Cardiac Interventional Radiology, requiring 1+ year of experience and ARRT(R) certification.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit serving pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday with fluctuating days based on operational needs
• Call required 1-2 days per week plus one weekend every 5 weeks
• Uses Epic for documentation, Omnicell for medication management, and SBAR for communication
• Candidates will float within the hospital based on census

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience required
• ARRT(R) certification required (RCIS may be accepted depending on scrubbing experience); BLS required
• CA license required if applicable, must be in hand at time of consideration
• Epic experience required
• Community, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in procedures including angioplasty, embolization, chemoembolization, aortography, mesenteric angiogram, liver biopsy, paracentesis, thoracentesis, IVC filter placement/removal, stent placement, renal angiography, nephrostomy, gastrostomy, cystoscopy, and uterine arterial embolization
• Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
• Able to scrub, circulate, and set up equipment for procedures
• Experience interpreting dysrhythmias and assisting with laser-assisted procedures
• One professional reference required (within 2 years)

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include scrubbing and circulating for a wide range of interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures
• Scrubs provided
• First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
• Previous permanent staff at the facility are not eligible for consideration
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; no RTO may be added afterward
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate
