Business Systems Analyst

Overview At Leidos, the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) team seeks a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support the Office of Management and Business Operations. The SNS is a critical part of the federal medical response infrastructure, ensuring availability of essential medical products during emergencies. In this role, you will improve operational efficiency, provide data-driven insights, and strengthen national public health preparedness. Primary Responsibilities Participate in meetings with senior officials from HHS, ASPR, and SNS. Analyze existing or proposed procedures, systems, strategies, and services; identify improvement needs and support the development of methods and resources. Work with stakeholders to understand business needs, evaluate and document requirements, and collaborate with IT teams to develop, configure, and test systems that meet business requirements. Conduct data mining, analysis, and modeling from structured and unstructured data using tools such as Excel and Power BI; extract insights and develop findings, inferences, conclusions, and recommendations. Translate business requirements into low‑code solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse. Create, develop, and publish sustainable reports and dashboards that update with current data on a recurring basis. Develop and maintain working relationships with appropriate organizations to support the program’s mission. Research, collect, compile, and review qualitative and quantitative information and data for use in program decisions. Assist with the preparation of system recommendations to senior officials. Maintain continuous readiness posture and remain flexible to respond 24 hours a day, year round, supporting emergency management/incident response functions as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 2–4 years of relevant professional experience. Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into technical, low‑code solutions using Microsoft Power Platform. Experience creating reports and dashboards using Excel and Power BI. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking abilities. Ability to handle requests from multiple groups/organizations. Able to identify errors, problems, or non‑standard situations and recommend solutions. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must possess character traits such as accuracy, meticulousness, proactivity, efficiency, self‑starter, and teamwork. U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 1 National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Public Trust suitability. Operational Requirements Participate in a 24/7 on‑call status for emergencies. Respond to mission alerts within 15 minutes and report to a designated location within 90 minutes when activated. Carry a mobile phone at all times. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience supporting a government agency.
