QC Manager, Microbiology

Pfizer seeks a Quality Control Manager for Microbiology to lead a team performing microbiological testing and analysis in support of pharmaceutical product release and process control. The role requires extensive cGMP compliance knowledge, laboratory operations experience, and demonstrated team leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and operational oversight of microbiology QC team conducting routine testing assays
Lead team development, goal setting, performance management, and succession planning
Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives
Ensure laboratory compliance with Pfizer standards, regulatory requirements, and cGMP regulations
Collaborate cross-functionally to support production schedules, investigations, and strategic initiatives

Requirements

Bachelor's degree with 4+ years relevant experience, or equivalent education/experience combination
Extensive cGMP compliance knowledge for quality control laboratories
Demonstrated microbiological testing, laboratory operations, and change management experience
In-depth understanding of aseptic processing and contamination control principles
Proven team leadership experience in laboratory or operational settings
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and engage diverse stakeholders

Compensation: $106,000-$176,600 base salary, plus 15% bonus target and long-term incentive eligibility
