Business Development Executive - Events

Location: Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Las Vegas, LA, New York, New Jersey, or Orlando Salary: 80,000-100,000 Position Type: Full Time (Permanent hire) Industry: Audio Visual

As the Business Development Executive, you are at the forefront of driving growth by connecting organizations with innovative event and business technology solutions that elevate brand experiences. You join a collaborative, high-performing team where your insights and contributions directly influence expansion into strategic markets.

In this role, you build trusted client relationships, uncover unique business needs, and guide stakeholders toward tailored solutions that deliver real impact. You engage through both inbound and outbound channels, lead consultative conversations, and act as a strategic partner throughout the customer journey.

Open to having a home office in one of the locations: Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Las Vegas, LA, New York, New Jersey, or Orlando

Reporting To: Vice President of Sales, Event Solutions

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for prospective clients through inbound and outbound outreach, creating meaningful connections that develop into long-term partnerships
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers through multi-channel engagement, including email, phone, social platforms, and in-person meetings
  • Lead thoughtful discovery conversations to understand client goals, challenges, and opportunities, aligning solutions to support their success
  • Develop compelling proposals, RFP responses, and business cases that reflect client needs and organizational strengths
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to increase visibility and generate new opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Solutions, and Account Management teams to ensure a seamless experience from first conversation through contract execution
  • Support and inspire teammates by sharing experience, refining messaging and strategies, and contributing to a culture of learning and growth
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide forecasting insights using tools such as Salesforce and HubSpot

Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for building relationships and helping clients solve challenges through technology and service
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to listen actively, speak confidently, and write clearly
  • Demonstrated success navigating complex sales cycles and engaging executive-level stakeholder
  • Experience using CRM and sales tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoom, and Slack
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
  • Familiarity with modern sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDICC, BANT, SPIN Selling) is a plus

  • Partnering cross-functionally to deliver a seamless client experience and accelerate deal velocity
  • Serving as a trusted advisor by influencing client strategy and positioning the organization as a preferred technology partner
  • Elevating the sales organization through mentorship, collaboration, and continuous improvement of processes and messaging
