VCA Allendale Animal Hospital is expanding their Patient Care Team and seeking a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician !

Schedule: Full-time opportunity. 4 x 10's with rotating Saturdays.

\n

\n

Compensation : $21 - 28/hr and pay range is negotiable based on experience, education, skills, and credentials.

\n

\n

Key Responsibilities :

\n

\n
• Patient Care : Provide high-quality nursing care to patients, including administering treatments, medications, and monitoring their recovery.
\n
• Anesthesia and Surgery : Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures, including anesthesia induction, monitoring, and post-operative care.
\n
• Diagnostics : Perform diagnostic tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and radiographs, ultrasounds, ensuring accurate results and timely processing.
\n
• Client Education : Engage with clients to provide clear communication on their pets’ health, treatment plans, and preventive care.
\n
• Record Keeping : Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for each patient.
\n
• Leadership and Mentorship : Mentor junior staff and help foster a collaborative, positive work environment. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to grow your leadership skills and potentially lead teams or projects.
\n
• Technician Utilization : Play a pivotal role in all areas of patient care, from routine exams to critical care cases, ensuring your technical skills are fully utilized.

Qualifications:

\n

\n
• \n

  Licensed Veterinary Technician certification or be eligible to transfer/obtain a license in MI.

\n
• \n

  Proficiency in technical skills including surgery prep and monitoring anesthesia.

\n
• \n

  Passion for mentoring Technicians and Assistants.

\n

\n

\n
