Travel RN - Cath Lab/EP

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring AR or compact RN license, ACLS/BLS certification, and a minimum of two years of Cath Lab experience.

Job Details

• Work in the Cath Lab unit of a hospital environment,
• Assist physicians with cardiovascular studies and interventions, including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, in the Cardiac Cath Lab,
• Perform special procedure studies and interventions as needed,
• Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM,
• Days off vary within the schedule,
• Call required approximately 9 to 10 days per month,
• Cerner charting experience preferred,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (AR or Compact) in good standing, license in-hand required,
• ADN required, BSN or MSN preferred,
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS),
• Minimum of two years of Cath Lab RN experience required,
• Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred,
• Skilled in Cath Lab procedures including sheath removal/monitoring, vascular closure systems, procedural sedation monitoring, and 12-lead EKG/ECG interpretation,

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care, administer medications, and utilize sterilization techniques within the Cath Lab,
• Act as patient advocate while supporting physicians during cardiac and vascular procedures,
• Facility conducts its own mandatory drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with any positive result resulting in automatic cancellation,
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted,
• Facility-required training modules must be completed prior to or by the end of the first shift, with instructions provided 1-2 business days before the start date,
• First-time travelers considered given strong Cath Lab experience
