Personal Care Assistant

Employment Type: Full time Shift: Description: PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANT Location: Elwyn, PA Status: Full time Shift: Monday - Friday 6 am to 230 pm, every other weekend and holiday Incentive: $2500 Sign on Bonus eligibility Position Purpose: This role impacts participants lives by providing essential personal care services and health support. Position Details: $2500 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment paid in 3 installments. This program provides services to a community specifically comprised of deaf seniors. All candidates must be willing to learn American Sign Language (ASL). What you will do: * Conduct ongoing participant assessments and monitoring. * Provide assistance with daily activities, including toileting, grooming, and meals. * Aid in maintaining physical activity and exercise routines. * Identify safety hazards and respond to emergencies. * Assist with recreational activities, meal service, and housekeeping. * Report any changes in participant's condition to center staff. * Escort participants to appointments and assist with transportation. Minimum Qualifications: * High School Diploma or equivalent. * Minimum of one (1) year of documented experience working with a frail/elderly population or if less than one (1) year of experience, must receive appropriate training from the PACE organization upon hiring. * Must be willing to learn American Sign Language (ASL). ASL proficiency preferred. * Preferred experience in long-term care or geriatric programs. * Strong communication and organizational skills. * Ability to work independently and adapt to change.
