Job Summary
We are seeking a Telephone Operator to join our team! As a telephone Operator, you will be answering all incoming calls, answering questions, and directing calls to the appropriate persons and places. You will also be verifying information over the phone, updating documentation as needed, and keeping notes on important calls. The ideal candidate is able to maintain a positive, helpful attitude even while answering multiple calls, has excellent customer service skills, and is comfortable on the phone. This is an office-based position with work hours of Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

Responsibilities 

• Answering incoming phone calls, answering questions, transferring calls to the appropriate places, and taking messages as needed
• Rescheduling appointments for providers as needed
• Assisting patients with inquiries and providing information about the medical office
• Creating clinic patient folders daily for the next day
• Scanning documents and filing them correctly in patient charts
• Providing excellent customer services while answering incoming calls
• Keep notes on important callers and information

Skills

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Previous experience as a phone operator or in a front desk role is preferred, there will be cross-training for receptionist duties
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
• Familiarity with phone systems and proficiency in using electronic medical records systems
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high call volumes
