Position Summary

The VP of Commercial Private Credit will engage in credit origination and structuring across South Florida, specifically Miami‑Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. This production role is responsible for independently managing their own pipeline and growing a high performing credit origination platform by leveraging direct sales channels consisting of deep relationships with business owners, C‑Suite executives and strategic partners to deliver customized financing solutions to lower and middle‑market companies (typically $10M–$150M in revenue).

Key Responsibilities

• Source, originate, and structure commercial private credit transactions.
• Meet monthly, quarterly and annual funding targets.
• Build relationships with companies, financial sponsors and strategic advisors.
• Execute Southeast Commercial Private Credit Playbook.
• Establish Libertas as a leading private credit provider in the region.
• Oversee full deal lifecycle.
• Partner with underwriting and risk teams.
• Partner with senior leadership on growth initiatives.
• Independently manage and consistently meet your funding targets and goals.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in commercial lending or private credit.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to self‑source opportunities in assigned market channel.
• Strong and proven track record of deal origination and execution.
• Deep understanding of the financial markets and alternative financing.
• Strong written and oral communications skills required.
• Ability to work well with a variety of people at all levels of the organization.
• Strong South Florida market network.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field preferred.
• MBA preferred.

Salary Range: $125K-$160K
