This role partners with stakeholders in Supply Chain, Finance, and Manufacturing to transform business requirements into scalable analytics solutions.Key responsibilities include building and maintaining semantic data models, developing intuitive dashboards and reports, and ensuring the performance, reliability, and usability of Power BI solutions. The role requires strong expertise in Power BI, including data modeling and DAX, as well as proficiency in SQL and a working knowledge of data integration, ETL processes, and modern data platforms.The Analytics Developer works across the full analytics lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design to visualization, optimization, and ongoing support. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and business acumen, with the ability to understand end-to-end business processes, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and translate complex data into actionable insights.We are seeking a mid-to-senior level Business Intelligence professional with deep Power BI expertise and a strong data and analytics foundation. They possess strong communication skills and the ability to partner effectively across functions to deliver meaningful business value through analytics.ProfileKey Accountabilities:Design, develop, and maintain scalable Power BI solutions, including semantic models, datasets, reports, and dashboards that support business decision-makingPartner with Supply Chain, Finance and Manufacturing stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into analytical solutions, and drive adoption of BI toolsDevelop and optimize data models using industry best practices (star schema, data relationships, measures, and calculations using DAX)Create intuitive, user-friendly dashboards and visualizations that effectively communicate insights and trendsEnsure high performance, reliability, and usability of Power BI solutions across the Power BI Service environmentWrite, optimize, and maintain SQL queries to support reporting and data analysis needsSupport and contribute to data pipeline processes, including ETL workflows and integration of data from multiple sourcesApply data quality and governance best practices to ensure accuracy, consistency, and trust in reporting solutionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support enhancements, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of BI solutionsProvide subject matter expertise on BI tools, data structures, and reporting best practices, mentoring team members as neededParticipate in support and on-call rotation to ensure availability and performance of BI solutionsRequired Experience and Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence or data analytics roles, with increasing responsibility3+ years of hands-on experience developing end-to-end solutions in Power BI, including data modeling and advanced DAXDemonstrated experience designing and delivering dashboards and reports for business usersStrong experience with SQL development, including querying, transformation, and performance optimizationExperience working with data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and structured data environmentsProven ability to engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutionsWorking knowledge of Supply Chain, Finance and/or Manufacturing business processes and dataExperience managing multiple priorities, troubleshooting issues, and delivering solutions in a fast-paced environmentPreferred ExperienceExperience working with modern data platforms, including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, or similar ETL/data integration toolsExposure to Lakehouse or cloud-based data architecturesExperience integrating data from ERP systems such as SAPFamiliarity with data governance and data quality frameworksPower BI ExpertiseAdvanced proficiency in Power BI Desktop and ServiceStrong data modeling skills, including semantic models, star schema design, relationships, and performance optimizationAdvanced DAX capabilities for complex measures, calculations, and tuningExpertise in dashboard development, data visualization, usability, and storytellingAbility to translate business requirements into actionable reporting and analytics solutionsStrong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiencesData & Platform KnowledgeProficiency in SQL development, complex query writing, and performance optimizationUnderstanding of ETL, data integration, and transformation processesFamiliarity with modern data platforms and architectures such asMicrosoft Fabric, Lakehouse, and cloud environmentsKnowledge of data quality, validation, and governance principlesBasic data engineering skills, including data pipelines and preparationProfessional SkillsStrong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaborate across cross-functional teamsExcellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsContinuous learning mindset with a focus on emerging BI and data technologies11/30/2026Billerud NA is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
