Logistics Coordinator
Location: 1 DNA Way South San Francisco, CA 94080 Pay Rate: $16.73 - $30.25/hr; Weekly Pay + Benefits (Medical, Vision & Dental) Contract Length: 4 Months Potential to continue for up to 3 years. Contracts will be renewed quarterly based on the performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory of laboratory consumables, reagents, chemicals, and glassware.
- Receive, inspect, store, pack, and ship materials according to safety and temperature requirements.
- Prepare receiving and shipping documentation.
- Follow GLP, DOT, HazMat, and other safety and regulatory requirements.
- Operate material handling equipment and train for PIT operation.
- Support warehouse operations, troubleshoot issues, and minimize delays.
- Collaborate with Material Operations, Lab Services, and cross-functional teams.
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide updates to supervisors and leads.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas and participate in process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED plus college-level biological/physical science coursework or related AA/AS degree.
- Material handling, inventory, warehouse, or packing experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, time management, communication, and customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on safety, quality, and accuracy.
- Knowledge of safe chemical handling is a plus.
- Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Must be available for 40 hours/week, weekends, off-shifts, and overtime as needed.
