A highly respected 192-bed community hospital with over 35 outpatient care centers is seeking a skilled and compassionate Ophthalmologist to join their dedicated medical staff in the picturesque Hudson Valley region , just two hours north of New York City and 30 minutes south of Albany. Position Highlights:

\n

\n
• Perform comprehensive ophthalmologic evaluations and manage a broad range of eye conditions
\n
• Conduct surgical procedures including cataract extraction (phacoemulsification), eyelid surgery, laser treatments, and other anterior segment surgeries
\n
• Collaborate with optometrists, PCPs, and specialists to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
\n
• Use advanced diagnostics including OCT, fundus photography, slit-lamp exams, and visual fields
\n
• Provide both routine and urgent ophthalmologic care
\n
• Participate in community health initiatives and quality improvement projects
\n

Qualifications:

\n

\n
• MD or DO from an accredited program
\n
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Ophthalmology residency
\n
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
\n
• Eligible for NY state licensure and hospital credentialing
\n
• Proficiency in cataract surgery and anterior segment procedures preferred
\n
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
\n
• Prior rural or community health experience a plus
\n
