Job Title: MRI Technologist (MRI Tech) Location: New York City, NY Job Type: Full-Time Contract Pay Rate: $66.00 per hour Schedule: Multiple Shifts Available (Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, and Flexible Schedules) Position Overview We are seeking skilled and experienced MRI Technologists for full-time contract opportunities throughout New York City. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging examinations while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and exceptional care throughout the imaging process. The MRI Technologist will operate advanced imaging equipment, follow established protocols, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnosis and quality patient outcomes. Responsibilities Perform MRI procedures according to physician orders and established imaging protocols. Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images. Screen patients for MRI safety concerns, including implants, medical devices, and contraindications. Review patient medical history and verify examination requests. Prepare patients for MRI procedures and explain the imaging process. Ensure patient comfort, safety, and privacy throughout examinations. Administer contrast media as required and according to facility protocols. Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation. Follow infection control, safety, and departmental policies. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care. Monitor MRI equipment performance and report any operational concerns. Maintain compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and MRI safety guidelines. Qualifications Education Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or related healthcare field; OR Successful completion of an accredited MRI Technologist training program. Experience Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience preferred. Experience working in hospital, outpatient, or diagnostic imaging settings is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of MRI procedures, protocols, and safety standards. Certifications & Licensure ARRT Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) required. Current BLS Certification required. New York State Radiologic Technologist license preferred/required as applicable. Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay: $66.00 per hour.
