Bank Manager

Job Overview Guides, directs, and coaches employees to deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects. Advises customers on products and strategies that meet their financial objectives, supports sales and customer service activities, and ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and the Bank’s policies and processes. Location: 7447 University Drive, Salary range: $66,600.00 – $124,200.00 (Salaried, with potential commission and bonus); Sign‑on bonus: $3,000. Responsibilities Develop and execute branch business plans to maximize business growth, wallet share, customer retention, and acquisition objectives. Lead, coach, and develop branch staff, fostering a culture aligned with BMO purpose, values, and strategy. Conduct cold calls and community networking activities to generate new business opportunities. Resolve customer issues using product knowledge, and refer escalated matters to higher management. Monitor sales and service performance against plan, identify gaps and develop action plans. Coordinate the implementation of national and regional sales and service initiatives and monitor adherence to standards. Provide technical training and support to maintain operational and sales effectiveness. Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements and maintain confidentiality of customer and Bank information. Analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations for business improvement. Qualifications 5–7 years of relevant experience in retail banking and a post‑secondary degree or equivalent education and experience. Previous supervisory or management experience. In‑depth knowledge of retail banking products, services, and competitive marketplace trends. In‑depth knowledge of branch operational processes, policies, and technologies. In‑depth knowledge of applicable regulations, audit standards, and related policies. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent collaboration, teamwork, and influence skills. Analytical and problem‑solving abilities with data‑driven decision making. Ability to exercise judgment within risk management frameworks and make decisions aligned with business strategy.
