Personal Banker

Purpose of Position A Personal Banker is responsible for delivering a premier client experience that is second to none by helping clients with all of their consumer/retail banking needs. The Personal Banker will provide new and existing clients with resources and solutions to serve all their financial needs and will work to grow relationships that are mutually beneficial for the client and bank. The primary responsibility for this position will be to develop and nurture client relationships. Key Responsibilities Achieve full banking relationships with clients and maintain expertise of all deposit and consumer loan products and services. Resolve client needs/problems/issues and provide high quality personalized service. Actively sell deposit and consumer loan products and services by utilizing effective sales skills including listening, being persuasive and building confidence and trust with clients and potential clients. Open deposit accounts for clients including but not limited to checking, savings, CDs, and properly complete all account paperwork. Process transactions such as cashing checks, account withdrawals, deposits, loan payments, etc. while properly balancing and maintaining a cash drawer. Follow through with onboarding new clients and new accounts. Promote and maintain positive relations with all internal and external contacts, clients and potential clients. Meet established benchmarks for individual, office, and department. Actively participate in sales, office and staff meetings. Maintain confidentiality of client information at all times. Participate in community involvement/bank activities. Perform all other duties as assigned. Complete all annual bank security and compliance training. Adhere to Bank Security guidelines as required for this position. Stay current on all compliance regulations. Qualifications Associate’s Degree in a related field and/or 2 years equivalent work experience in a client services/sales environment. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to be able to interact and communicate with a diverse group of clients. Ability to work a full-time, 40-hour schedule with flexibility between 7:15 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Availability to work Saturday rotations between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to make good decisions. Flexibility and adaptability to an ever-changing work environment. Willingness and ability to participate in community functions where the office is involved. Ability to represent the organization in a professional, positive manner. Proven sales ability.
