Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3×12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency patients
• Perform neurological assessments utilizing NIHSS protocols
• Respond to and manage acute and critical patient situations in accordance with facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 18 months of Emergency Room experience within the past 3 years
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local travelers will not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume or Level I/II Trauma Emergency Department
• Strong critical thinking and triage assessment skills
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems in an acute care environment
