If so, we are looking for an outgoing accounting clerk to join our cast!WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:Provide support to the accounting department, in accordance with regulatory requirements and company proceduresComplete auditing tasksProcess accounts payables and/or accounts receivables as requiredMaintain, verify, and update numerous accounting ledgersAssist with regular bank and credit card reconciliationsPrepare and deliver accounting reports as directedKeep all sensitive company information confidentialPerform general office support such as filing and other administrative tasksApply accounting principles, regulations, and policies to all work-related dutiesVarious data-entry tasksAssess and research accounting issues, reporting to staff accountant to identify solutionsPerform other accounting related duties and tasks as assignedWHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL:Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulatory requirementsMaintain a high-level of focus and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamEffective communication skills, both orally and writtenMaintain a positive and respectful work atmosphereExcellent problem solving and analytical skillsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in order to meet all applicable deadlinesWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and QuickBooks DesktopAbility to maintain confidentiality at all timesEXPERIENCE/EDUCATION WE NEED YOU TO HAVE:Associates or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or other related field preferred2+ years of proven accounting experience, preferable in AP/AR in a corporate environmentProven experience with QuickBooks DesktopHigh-level of competency with Excel spreadsheets, intermediate level and above onlyProficiency with financial softwareExperience with corporate and business taxes a plusExperience assisting with corporate tax returns and financial reportingESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:Work environment: Fast-paced, in-person office settingMust be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours a dayMay be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, and telephoneLight to moderate lifting may be required, up to 25 poundsSpecific vision abilities required due to viewing computer terminals and company dataReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsThis job description should not be interpreted as all-inclusive; it is intended to identify major responsibilities, skills and requirements of the job.
