The Medical Front Office Receptionist plays a vital role in managing front desk operations within a small medical office team of 1-5 members. Reporting directly to the Office Manager, this position ensures smooth patient interactions by handling scheduling, check-ins, and insurance verification while maintaining compliance with privacy regulations. The role demands proficiency in standard EHR software and excellent customer service skills to facilitate efficient and compassionate patient care.

 

Responsibilities

• Manage patient scheduling and appointment confirmations efficiently
• Verify insurance information accurately before patient visits
• Perform patient check-in and data entry with attention to detail
• Handle phone inquiries and direct calls professionally
• Maintain organized and confidential medical records
• Deliver excellent customer service to all patients and visitors

 

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in medical office administration
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Understanding of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
• Familiarity with patient scheduling software and insurance verification processes
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
