Order Selection Team MemberIn this fast-paced role, you are the boots on the ground and responsible for accurately and efficiently pulling customer orders within the warehouse. This role requires strategic thinking and attention to detail while palletizing orders and ensuring they are placed in the correct assigned locations. You will operate motorized equipment including Electric Pallet Jacks while ensuring that you safely and accurately move product within the warehouse. Here at UNFI we do our best work by embracing the power of team, never giving up and knowing that we make a difference.Schedule:5-day work schedule: 9:00 AM start timeAverage shift 10-12 hoursOvertime includedPay:Starting wage is $22.75/hour, with a pay increase of $1.50 upon hitting productivityCase bonus incentive$2.00/hr extra for weekend shift$2.00/ for freezer environment (if applicable)Set pay increases: $1.00/hour increase after 1 year. $1.50 increase after 2 yearsPosition Requirements:Must be 18 years or olderWarehouse experience is preferred but not requiredLifting boxes weighing from less than 20 to 65lbs consistently throughout the shift.Occasionally pushing, reaching, pulling, and grippingMust have the ability to work in various temperaturesJob Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Identify the pick locations and safely pick the itemsInspect assigned equipment for safety issuesPicks the correct item and quantity, checking UPC's or item descriptionsPlaces labels on the side of the casesShrink wraps and labels with correct truck, stop and other required information.Stages pallets in appropriate bay and builds a stable palletOperates pallet jack/pushcart in a safe and efficient mannerGood judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.Physical Environment/ Demands:Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery OperationAbility to do repetitive arm, wrist, and hand movements required.Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties.
