Registered Nurse - High Risk Labor & Delivery

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, 4x12-hour schedule (19:00 - 07:30). Candidates will work every other weekend and holidays as needed.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our High Risk Labor & Delivery unit. This position demands a candidate with strong competencies in high acuity environments and a passion for maternal and newborn care. The RN will function in the role of Baby Nurse during deliveries and provide ongoing care for newborns.

Responsibilities:

• Care for midwifery clients and support private OB patients.
• Assist in adult recovery services focusing on substance recovery.
• Floats as needed to sister facilities covering Maternal/Child Health.
• Perform newborn care including assessments and administration of Vitamin K, Heparin, and other medications as required.
• Work within AWHONN guidelines for staffing and patient care.
• Maintain electronic fetal monitoring and utilize EPIC EMR system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in high-risk Labor & Delivery settings, with a strong preference for candidates with 5 years of experience.
• Current RN licensure and required certifications: BLS, NRP.
• ACLS and AWHONN certifications preferred.
• Proof of supervisory references and required certificates must accompany submission.
• Candidates must successfully pass a clinical review.
