This includes, but is not limited to planning, scheduling, resource allocation, contracts, project accounting and collections, safety, material delivery, submittals, permits, RFI's, change orders and close out documents.ResponsibilitiesContinually enforce safety regulations and generate project specific safety planDemonstrate ability to lead construction team to accomplish project goalsWork closely and effectively with clients, owners and architects to develop professional relationshipContinuously ensure that project is being constructed per the plans and specificationsWork closely with Superintendent, architects, owners, inspectors and sub-contractors to ensure project is being constructed safely, on-time, within budget and according to the plans and specificationsAcquire signed contracts and purchase orders from all sub-contractors and suppliersEffectively respond to work delays, overruns and other problems and emergenciesAcquire all permits required for projectAssist in management of scope, budget development and adherence for design build opportunitiesEffectively complete project punch list, close out documents and a cost analysisCompare budget versus actual costAssist in preconstruction and estimating activitiesUtilize Microsoft project, Procore, or equivalent project management software (job status reports, projections, change orders, and RFI's)Responsible for collection of fees from clients, owners and architectsRegularly inspect job site and hold meetings to ensure safety, progress, quality and moreDevelop project schedules.Effectively use company labor pool and other resourcesWork to ensure cost effective management of company resourcesQualificationsBachelor degree in Construction Management, Building Science or related field or have at least six years of construction management experienceDemonstrate a commitment to a safe work environmentExperience managing all aspects of construction projects including architectural, civil, structural, mechanical and electricalStrong organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple projects at one timeGood driving recordExcellent written and oral communication skills, math skills and effective listening skillsAbility to read, understand and implement construction plans and specificationsExcellent problem-solving skills through analyzing and making timely and sound decisions based on safety, objectives, risks and costsMust have well developed interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with diverse groups of people to include clients, architects, engineers, government agencies and sub-contractorsAbility to work with scheduling softwareBasic understanding of financial accounting systemAbility to perform estimatingWillingness to travel or relocateRequired SkillsMust work overtime as neededMust be able to work outdoorsMust be able to walk and work around moving equipmentMust be able to climb stairs and work around and on uneven surfacesMust be able to stand for extended periods of time and walk around construction projectsMust be proficient with various computer programs as well as phone, fax and other office equipmentPreferred SkillsExperience with Microsoft Project, Procore, or equivalent project management softwarePay range and compensation packageNot specified.Equal Opportunity StatementDisclaimer This job description is only a summary of the typical functions of the job.
