Job Description

The role of a Forklift Operator involves safely operating sit-down forklifts to transport coils and metal sheets, as well as loading and unloading trucks and managing inventory.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate sit-down electric or gas forklifts to transport heavy coils and materials.
• Load and unload flatbed and box trucks, ensuring materials match shipping orders.
• Stage materials, process orders, and maintain an accurate account of all stock.
• Keep dock areas and the production floor clean, safe, and organized.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of sit-down forklift experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proficiency in alternating between dock and production floor.
• Bilingual capabilities are required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with RF scanners and pallet jacks.
• General labor skills.
• Shipping and receiving knowledge.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin Park, IL.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
