RN Acute Care Medicine Health Services Nights

Position Overview Location: UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion, Aurora, CO. Department: Medicine Health Services Unit. Full‑time, 0.9 FTE (72.00 hours per pay period, 2 weeks). Shift: Nights. Pay: $35.29 – $54.71 per hour, depending on experience. Night Shift Incentive Program pays $1,600 quarterly ($6,400 per year) to full‑time night‑shift RNs. This is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option. Minimum Requirements Graduate of an accredited or state board‑approved Registered/Professional Nursing program (if less than 3 years of experience). State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). 6 months of RN experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) training – BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, with a valid card on hand before the start date. The BLS/CPR card must remain current for at least 60 days after hire. Clinical Responsibilities Provide top‑scope practice in direct patient care using the nursing process. Value a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes. Prioritize wellness, a patient perspective, and evidence‑based practice. Model proficiency through precepting newcomers to healthcare and UCHealth. Welcome new knowledge in a fast‑paced, innovative clinical environment. Contribute to safe care and quality at the point of care. Work in an acute care (Med‑Surg) unit with moderate to high patient acuity. Apply AMSN’s core curriculum and specialty certification standards as part of evidence‑based care models. Receive guidance from Clinical Educators for individualized specialty education and competency validation throughout orientation.
