Halifax County Jail 12-Hour Day Shifts | Rotating Schedule | Every Other Weekend Starting Pay: $32+/Hour

Southern Health Partners is seeking a dedicated LPN or RN to join our team at Halifax County Jail. Correctional nursing offers a unique opportunity to provide essential healthcare services in a structured, secure environment while working independently and utilizing a broad range of nursing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessments, treatments, and medication administration
• Respond to patient health concerns and evaluate medical needs
• Monitor chronic conditions and follow established treatment plans
• Collaborate with providers regarding patient care and treatment recommendations
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
• Follow nursing standards, company policies, and facility procedures
• Serve as the primary clinical resource during assigned shifts
• Promote a safe, professional, and patient-centered healthcare environment

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted LPN or RN license in the state of Virginia
• Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions
• Basic computer and documentation skills
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
• Must successfully complete pre-employment drug screening and facility security clearance requirements
