MSC is hiring a CNC Cutter / Grinder for its Monday–Thursday night shift in St. Henry, Ohio. This role focuses on regrinding, reconditioning, and manufacturing precision cutting tools while receiving structured, hands-on training from experienced team members. The Work You'll Be Doing In this role, you will: Regrind, recondition, and manufacture cutting tools according to work instructions Set up grinding equipment before beginning each work order Grind tools to print and quality specifications Inspect completed tools using prints and measuring equipment Read blueprints and work order instructions Return tooling to designated locations after each job Report daily production updates to the Shop Supervisor Help train new associates as needed Support continuous improvement initiatives and additional shop projects Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Equipment & Inspection You'll work with equipment and tools such as: CNC cutter grinding equipment Precision grinding machinery Blueprint documentation Precision inspection equipment Standard measuring instruments Cutting tool manufacturing and reconditioning equipment What We're Looking ForRequired High school diploma or equivalent Basic math skills Ability to read blueprints Ability to inspect tools to print specifications Ability to read and follow work order instructions Strong attention to detail Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Dependable work ethic and commitment to quality Ability to train and assist other associates when needed Preferred Previous machining or manufacturing experience Experience with CNC grinding or tool grinding Experience using precision measuring equipment Familiarity with cutting tools or metalworking environments Training & Development MSC provides a structured onboarding program that includes: 8 weeks of paid, on-the-job training Mentorship alongside an experienced Tru-Edge associate 100% inspection of completed work during training Safety training covering emergency procedures and workplace safety Opportunities to continue developing specialized cutting tool manufacturing skills Work Environment Monday–Thursday night shift (9:00 PM – 7:00 AM) Four-day work week Approximately 95% of time spent in the shop Fast-paced manufacturing environment Occasional overtime available Clean, organized production facility Pay & Benefits Pay Range: $19.62 – $28.77 per hour, depending on experience.
