Records Clerk

California Department of Industrial Relations

Responsibilities Under the direction of the Deputy Labor Commissioner Supervisor (Senior Deputy), the Office Technician (Typing) performs a wide variety of difficult clerical duties involving the administration of the Wage Claim Adjudication (WCA) program and/or its Port Unit in order to support labor code law enforcement functions in a timely, efficient, and effective manner. Qualifications Applicants must meet the Minimum Qualifications stated in the Classification Specification(s). Working Conditions The position is located at 2 MacArthur Place Suite 800, Santa Ana, CA 92707. It is a high‑volume, fast‑paced office that handles wage claims and constantly interfaces with the public. Special Requirements The position requires the ability to type at a minimum speed as designated in the Class Specifications. Applicants must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming that they meet the minimum typing speed before being hired. Additional information on acceptable typing tests is available on the CalCareers.ca.gov website.
