Overview Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Sonora, California, United States. Travel assignment starting 08/31/2026 for 13 contract weeks in a short-term acute care hospital setting. Weekly pay range $1,395–$1,425 per week with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shift: 5x8 days. This assignment requires California LVN licensure, current BLS, and active nursing practice. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,395–$1,425 per week Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 5x8 days Start date: 08/31/2026 Setting: Short-term acute care hospital On-call duties may be required Responsibilities Provide general nursing care for assigned patients under the supervision of an RN or physician, following established policies and the nursing process Participate in planning and delivering patient care; assist in developing and coordinating an interdisciplinary plan of care Perform routine clinical procedures (e.g., phlebotomy, injections, basic drug administration) and ensure aseptic technique Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions; document care and outcomes per policy Assist in ordering/restocking supplies, maintain neat and clean work areas, and support ancillary staff as needed Contribute to patient education and discharge planning; support on-call duties as required by agency needs Requirements Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in California (State of practice) required Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification required At least two years of recent nursing experience in the field Education: High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred EPIC experience preferred; hospice experience preferred Valid driver’s license and being 21 years of age or older preferred Ability to work day shift as specified and to fulfill weekend and 3 weekday coverage as needed Benefits and Support Guaranteed 40 hours per week throughout the assignment 13-week contract with potential extension based on agency needs Competitive weekly pay range of $1,395–$1,425 per week 24/7 recruiter and travel support throughout the assignment Dedicated support to help coordinate housing, credentialing, and onboarding where applicable
