Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and comfort. Supervises and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, coordinated care tailored to each patient's needs.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health status by collecting and analyzing relevant clinical data.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans targeting specific ICU patient needs.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatments, adjusting care plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with physicians, family members, and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on care procedures, health management, and discharge planning.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to nursing team members and coordinate interdisciplinary activities.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Prior experience in an ICU or critical care environment strongly preferred.
• Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required.
• CPR/BLS certification from an approved vendor required.
• Demonstrates strong clinical assessment, decision-making, and supervisory skills.
