Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working with high school students in a cognitive impairment classroom near Parma, MI. Two positions are currently available for passionate Special Education Teachers who are ready to make a meaningful difference. Support the academic, social, and emotional development of students in a well-structured, collaborative environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Michigan special education teaching license required (please submit verification screenshot)
• Experience or genuine enthusiasm working with high school students in a special education setting
• Adaptable, patient, and committed to differentiated instruction for diverse learning needs
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families
• Knowledge of IEPs and progress monitoring tools preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored for students with cognitive impairments
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and related service providers
• Conduct regular assessments, track progress, and maintain accurate records in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Engage regularly with families to communicate progress and encourage participation in students’ educational journeys
• Actively participate in professional development and contribute to a thriving team culture

This contract position offers a consistent full-time schedule at 37.5 hours per week from now until June 10, 2027. You will play a vital role supporting student growth and achievement within a respected district focused on inclusive education.
