Make a lasting impact on high school students by supporting learners in ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) classrooms for the upcoming academic year. This exciting contract opportunity runs from August 24, 2026, to June 10, 2027, with a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week in a vibrant educational environment located near Parma, MI. Multiple positions are available—ideal for passionate Special Education professionals seeking to empower students and collaborate with dedicated colleagues.
Qualifications:
- Active Michigan Special Education Teaching License (verification required prior to start)
- Demonstrated classroom experience working with high school students, preferably in ASD settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and staff
- Ability to implement IEPs and behavior intervention plans effectively
- Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic, onsite environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and behavioral supports tailored to students with autism
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with general and special education staff to foster inclusion and a positive learning atmosphere
- Engage with parents and guardians to promote student growth and address needs proactively
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and document interventions and outcomes in compliance with district standards
