Acute Occupational Therapist

Full Time / Day Shift / Sign on Bonus Available / Relocation Assistance Offered

MLR is seeking a skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our client's esteemed hospital team located near Sweetwater, Texas!

Key Responsibilities for an Occupational Therapist:

Assess patients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans to enhance their daily living and work skills.
Implement therapeutic interventions and monitor patient progress towards goals.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to optimize patient care.
Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and adaptive techniques for home and community settings.
Maintain detailed documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress within the hospital's electronic health records.
Stay updated with the latest evidence-based practices in occupational therapy to provide the best care possible.
Participate in patient discharge planning and follow-up care to ensure continuity of services.

Occupational Therapist Qualifications:

Current Texas licensure as an Occupational Therapist is required.
Certification in CPR and BLS is necessary.
A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program is required.
Experience in a hospital or rehabilitation setting is required.
