Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to neonatal intensive care patients in a per diem capacity. Ensure the safety and well-being of neonatal patients while adhering to hospital protocols and standards of practice.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor vital signs and clinical status of neonatal patients continuously.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient care activities accurately and promptly in electronic health records.
• Respond quickly to patient emergencies and escalate concerns as needed.
• Maintain compliance with all safety, licensing, and accreditation standards.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience.
• Hold a valid NJ RN license.
• Maintain current BLS and NRP certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in neonatal clinical procedures and protocols.
• Exhibit strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Be able to handle high-pressure clinical situations effectively.
