In this role you will work closely with senior members of the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) & Licensing organization worldwide, contributing to the development of Ericsson’s patent assertion and enforcement strategy. Responsibilities Actively support Ericsson's out‑licensing activities by identifying potential licensees and providing detailed technical analysis. Map patents against the products and services offered by potential licensees, playing a major role in negotiations by conducting relevant technical discussions. Support litigation that may become necessary to effectively license Ericsson’s intellectual property (IP). Assess and evaluate third‑party patents and portfolios. Contribute to continuous improvement of working processes to further enhance Ericsson’s patent portfolio strength. Qualifications Top academic credentials from an accredited law school and an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a similar field. Ten (10) or more years of experience as a practicing attorney in patent litigation, patent enforcement, and patent‑related arbitrations. Ability to manage enforcement activities to successful conclusion. Admission to practice law in Texas. Strong presentation and negotiation skills. Confidence in independently asserting patent coverage and enforcement positions to potential licensees. Benefits Competitive salary range based on location and qualifications.
