This 13-week temp-to-direct Physical Therapist opportunity is based in Jersey City, New Jersey, a vibrant, fast-growing urban community located directly across the Hudson River from Manhattan. The position is in an outpatient physical therapy setting focused on general orthopedics, offering a consistent patient flow and a strong emphasis on quality, evidence-based care. You will join a professional, collaborative team of rehabilitation specialists who value clinical excellence, communication, and patient satisfaction. You will work standard daytime hours on a 5x8 schedule, totaling 40 hours per week, providing a predictable routine and a stable work-life balance without on-call responsibilities.

A typical day will include performing comprehensive evaluations, designing and progressing individualized treatment plans, and providing hands-on care and therapeutic exercise to a primarily orthopedic caseload. Common diagnoses may include post-operative conditions, sprains and strains, degenerative joint issues, work-related injuries, and general musculoskeletal impairments. You will be responsible for timely and accurate documentation in the facility's EMR system, coordinating care with referring providers, and educating patients and families on home programs and long-term self-management strategies. Patient scheduling is designed to support both productivity and quality time with each patient, allowing you to build rapport and focus on meaningful outcomes.
