The Accounting Assistant is responsible for assisting with basic bookkeeping and accounting tasks, with an opportunity to grow within a growing company. This role reports directly to the CFO. Through On the Job Training the part time Accounting Assistant, will: Create and reconcile accounts payable invoices and identify discrepancies Weekly review and matching of payments to payables Participate in monthly Finished Goods Inventory Purge process Review and enter cash receipts on a timely basis Performs other ad hoc related duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook. Knowledge of ERP systems and basic bookkeeping procedures Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills and positive attitude Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability and willingness to learn Ability to work within a team dynamic Education Requirements: Minimum of two years’ experience in the corporate setting; some accounting knowledge preferred Experience within a manufacturing environment a plus Work Requirements: Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear. The job may involve prolonged periods of sitting and computer work. This position works in an office environment within a manufacturing facility. The noise level is generally quiet. Generally works in a clean environment and works to maintain the environment as such. Compensation and Benefits: As a part time role, this job is not eligible for benefits. To the extent this employee works more than 1,000 hours in a 12 month period or 500 hours in two consecutive years, they would be eligible to participate in the company’s 401(k) program and earn the company match (Currently 50% of contributions up to 6% of eligible wages).
