Registered Nurse-EHOMS

Cape Fox Eagle Health, LLC is accepting resumes for a 30 hour/10 hours a day/3 days per week Occupational Health Registered Nurse to provide services at the NIH Occupational Medical Service located in Bethesda, Maryland. The OMS worksundertheDepartmentofHealthandSafetywithinNIHandcollaborateswithsafetyprofessionalsandNIHresearchers.

The total hourly pay for this non-exempt position is $47.57 for up to 40 hours per week. This is comprised of a base hourly rate of $43.00plus $4.57 per hour Health & Welfare (H&W) for up to 40 hours per week as required by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCLS) regulations. This raterate represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Responsibilities :

ClinicalResponsibilities(70%)

• Independentlyperforminitialevaluationandtriaging of medicalemergencies;
• Assistintheclinicalcareprovidedformedicalemergenciestoincludewoundcare,medicationadministration,phlebotomy,EKG'sandBGM;
• Assistinimplementinghealthpromotionactivitieswithinthe NIHcommunity;
• Performinitialassessment,treatment,andcounselingofoccupationalinjuriesandillnessandmentalhealthcrises.
• Makeappropriatereferralstointernalandexternalprovidersrelatedtoinjuryorillness;
• Provideproperdocumentationandeducation toemployeesaboutworkerscompensationandworkrestrictionsfollowinganaccidentorillness;
• Independentlyconductpre-placementmedicalevaluationstoincludevitalsigns,hearing/visiontestingandEKG's;
• Enrollandeducateemployeesinappropriatemedicalsurveillanceprograms(animalexposureprogram,tuberculosis,andbiologicalsuretyprogram);
• Demonstrate strongworkingknowledgeofhowtoprovidepatienteducationandtreatmenttoemployeeswhomaybeexposedtobloodbornepathogens;
• Provideworkrelatedimmunizations,includinginternationaltravelimmunizationsandcounselingto NIHemployees;
• Complieswithuniversalprecautions,infectioncontrolandwastemanagementguidelines;
• Managetriagetelephonecallsandwalk-inpatientsinaprofessionalandwithquickassessmentskills;
• Cross train for coverage at Baltimore and Frederick satellite clinics;

AdministrativeResponsibilities(30%)

• ReviewandreviseallsectionsoftheOMSproceduremanualannually;
• Participateinqualityimprovementactivities;
• Participateinnursetrainingandstaff meetings.
• WorkwithOMSPhysiciansandAdvanced PracticeProvidersonnewOMSinitiatives.
