FYI Lead Care Coordinator

Overview The FYI Center Lead Care Coordinator will assist the FYI Center Director in supervising case managers, FYI Specialists (direct care personnel), and residents. Responsibilities include conducting intakes, responding to crises, attending stakeholder and leadership meetings, delivering trainings, completing CANS assessments, and ensuring the overall safety of residents and employees. The coordinator reports to the FYI Director, Deputy Chief Probation Officer, and the Chief Probation Officer of Marion County Superior Court. Position Responsibilities Complete weekly supervision sessions with the director (LCSW); director signs off on supervision hours. Finish Motivational Interviewing training (provided by FYI) within 3 months of hire. Adhere to the policies and procedures of the Marion Superior Court and the FYI Center. Make referrals to community resources as appropriate. Complete incident reports and treatment plans. Become CANS certified within 3 months of employment. Be knowledgeable about teaching skills to youth and guiding them in practicing those skills. Adhere to confidentiality policies. Complete data entry in a timely manner. Complete 20 hours of yearly educational training related to working with youth. Be part of the management team and embody leadership. Collaborate with local law enforcement, service providers, and maintain professional, appropriate communication. Comply with DCS rules and regulations. Review documents and provide guidance and feedback. Conduct meetings with youth and families to ensure Safety and Success Planning. Serve in other capacities and assignments as requested by the Chief Probation Officer while adhering to the department’s team philosophy and practice. Work nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Be at least 21 years of age. Pass a background check. Hold a master’s degree in social work, psychology, or counseling from an accredited school, plus at least one year of experience supervised by a person with such a master’s degree. Demonstrate experience in public speaking, facilitation, organization, and analytical skills. Show understanding of cultural values, norms, and culturally specific resources in the local community and state. Understand barriers experienced by children that limit access and engagement. Interact effectively with co‑workers and clients of diverse backgrounds, respecting all differences in race, ethnicity, religion, culture, immigration status, ability, generation, gender identity, and sexual orientation. Engage diverse staff and leadership to promote trust, collaboration, and partnership. Remain solution‑focused and respectful in all interactions with staff, clients, and stakeholders. Consistently demonstrate sound ethics and judgment. Know current office technology and systems and acquire additional knowledge and skills as needed. Organize, oversee, and complete multiple projects simultaneously with limited supervision. Be attentive to details and deadlines, responsive, and follow through with responsibilities. Provide timely and consistent oral and written communication. Must be a resident of Marion County within six months of hire.
