Biomedical Equipment Technician 2

GE HealthCare seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician to service and maintain medical equipment at healthcare facilities in the Sarasota/Bradenton, Florida area. The role involves diagnosing equipment issues, performing repairs and preventive maintenance, and ensuring regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose biomedical equipment issues and implement appropriate repairs and maintenance
• Perform safety and environmental inspections to support customer healthcare delivery
• Maintain compliance with company policies, hospital protocols, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain customer relationships and communication to ensure satisfaction and proper follow-up
• Report quality or compliance concerns to the Quality Organization immediately

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Biomedical, or Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years medical equipment service experience
• High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years medical equipment service experience
• Equivalent military education with 2+ years medical equipment service experience
• Knowledge of electronic digital circuitry and electro-mechanical devices
• Ability to interpret schematic diagrams
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship
• Ability to lift 35 lbs unassisted and work after-hours or rotating on-call schedules
