School Psychologist

Provides student assessments to identify developmental, learning, behavioral, and/or mental health problems. Develops interventions to prevent/remediate identified concerns.

Identifies opportunities to enhance student learning. Consults with teachers, parents, and administrators to find effective solutions to learning and behavior problems. Coordinates the Multi-Factored Evaluation process and parent/student conferences. Administers/interprets diagnostic tests. Prepares 504 accommodation plans. Serves as a parent/staff resource for plan implementation. Facilitates/supports the least restrictive environment for the placement of students with disabilities. Completes Evaluation Team Reports by required deadlines. Helps staff with Individualized Education Plans. Provides training in social skills and behavior management. Advocates for students. Promotes creativity, critical thinking, cultural awareness, and self-reliance. Protects confidentiality of records and information gained as part of exercising professional duties and uses discretion in sharing such information within legal confines. Other duties as assigned.

At a minimum must hold a valid or obtain an appropriate Ohio Department of Education license. Must comply with Ohio Revised Code 3319.39 Criminal Records Check.
