We are looking for a candidate with strong accounting skills, team leadership and supervisory skills and an eye for detail. As the Sr. Cost Accounting Supervisor, you will play an integral role in the division cost accounting function with a focus on standard margin analysis, month end close execution and financial reporting and forecasting. The position has 1-2 direct reports. Job Functions and ResponsibilitiesExecution of key month end processes.Be responsible for the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting statements/schedules related to margins and/or cost of sales activities.Oversee the maintenance and update of standard costs.Assist and support the preparation of timely, accurate and meaningful cost of sales forecasts and subsequent reviews against actuals.Analyze cost related reserves and other account balances to ensure they are regularly reviewed and properly stated.Maintenance of a strong internal controls in and support audit requirements.Support continuous improvement including the use of data analytic tools to identify cost of sales reduction opportunities.Support growth withing the cost accounting team and broader business operations to drive profitable growth for the Division.Assist with special projects as assigned, including periodic truck division comparisons, technical accounting research related to new product offerings, system related projects, and ad hoc reporting requests.Skills and CompetenciesStrong computer skills in Excel (i.e., pivot tables, macros, charts, and graphs), Access (i.e., query building, report writing, etc.) and data analytic tools (i.e., Tableau, etc.)Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to communicate complex accounting issues.Deadline-driven, self-motivated and customer service orientedAbility to work independently, handling multiple tasks and shifting priorities.Required Education and ExperienceBS/BA Accounting Degree with Accounting emphasis preferred.5+ years of relevant accounting experience with increasing responsibilityDesired Education and ExperienceCPA or other advanced certificationsUtilizing SAP or large ERPBusiness Intelligence tools, e.g., Tableau, PowerBIExperience in manufacturingWhy work for PACCAR/Kenworth?Global Fortune 500 Company with a wide array of growth and development opportunities Work alongside experienced goal-oriented colleagues recognized as experts in their fields Support and/or design the commercial vehicles of the future with a focus on emerging technologies such as electric and autonomous trucks ​​​​​​​As a U.S. PACCAR employee, you have a full range of benefit options including: 401k with up to a 5% company match Fully funded pension plan that provides monthly benefits after retirement Comprehensive paid time off – minimum of 10 paid vacation days (additional days are provided with additional seniority/years of service), 12 paid holidays, and sick time Tuition reimbursement for continued education Medical, dental, and vision plans for you and your family Flexible spending accounts (FSA) and health savings account (HSA) Paid short-and long-term disability programs Life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance EAP services include wellness plans, estate planning, financial counseling and more ​​​​​​​Additional Job Board Information At PACCAR, we value talent and promote growth and development. We carefully consider numerous compensation factors including your education, training, or experience. The salary range for the Senior Cost Accounting Manager is $84,000 - $131,700 annually. This position is also eligible for a holiday gift. Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
